Pam Flowers will be visiting Bates Elementary-all the way from Alaska on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 6th AND she will be bringing along one of her dogs!
Students will be attending one of two sessions beginning at 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. Young fives students are welcome to attend with a parent and current Bates parents of Kindergarten through Second grade students are also welcome.
Ms. Flowers and her team has run the Iditarod, mushed to the Magnetic Pole twice and hiked the more than 2,000 mile long Appalachian Trail. She was the first woman to travel alone with a dog team across Arctic America.
We are SO excited that she is coming to Bates!
If you would like to purchase one of her books, order forms will be sent home through classroom teachers in the next few days. Please makes checks out directly to Pam Flowers. Questions about this author visit may be directed to Julie Darling.
